Most anticipated iPhone 14 Pro upgrades

The following are the most rumored iPhone 14 Pro upgrades:

The new iPhone 14 promises a slew of improvements, including a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max to replace the mini.

This year, all eyes appear to be on the iPhone 14 Pro series.

That's because early reports and speculation indicate that the ordinary and pro models have a number of significant variations.

Most anticipated iPhone 14 Pro upgrades

Indeed, if you look at our early iPhone 14 versus iPhone 14 Pro comparison, which breaks down all of the leaks so far, we might be looking at the widest feature and power disparity ever between the two new iPhone batches.

Everything from cameras and design to charging, screens, and general performance is on the table. So far, the most significant iPhone 14 Pro enhancements have been rumored.

iPhone 14 Pro : no notch

There is no notch on the iPhone 14 Pro. Since the iPhone X in 2017, Apple has used the same overall design for the face of the iPhone.

While the notch has served its purpose well, holding both the front camera and all of the technology required for Face ID, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max appear to be breaking with tradition.

According to many sources, the iPhone 14 Pro series will forego the notch in favor of two smaller cuts on the display's front.

The selfie camera would have a punch hole, and the TrueDepth sensor would have a pill-shaped cutout.

It's possible that this design will be even more obtrusive than the single notch, but the renderings we've seen don't appear to make it that way.

The iPhone 14 Pro is said to include a 48-MP camera

The iPhone 14 Pro is said to include a 48-MP camera

Apple continues to develop the greatest camera phones while staying with a single 12MP camera for years.

That's because the sensors in these cameras have continued to grow and develop, while their computational photography has improved.

Professional users, on the other hand, prefer higher quality images to deal with, especially when cropping images after the fact.

And if claims of a 48MP wide camera for the iPhone 14 Pro series are genuine, they may very well get their wish.

The iPhone 14 Pro's 48MP camera might also employ pixel binning to reduce high-megapixel images to 12MP for easy sharing.

Furthermore, choosing a better 48MP main camera might enable Apple to capture 8K video, something Samsung currently does with the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Meanwhile, only the iPhone 14 Pros are expected to include a telephoto lens, though it's unclear if the optical zoom will be limited to 3x once more.

 iPhone 14 Pro with USB-C

According to at least one rumor, the iPhone 14 Pro series will feature USB-C connectivity.

So, at least for the Pro line, Lightning connectors would be phased out, resulting in slower charging for the iPhone 13 and prior iPhones. Furthermore, Lightning connectors are not as durable and trustworthy as USB-C cords.

This change by Apple is said to be about enabling faster transfer speeds for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, rather than adopting a more current standard.

After all, if the iPhone 14 Pro series includes a 48MP camera and supports 8K and ProRes video, USB-C will make it easier to transfer files to a powerful MacBook Pro 14-inch or MacBook Pro 16-inch.

iPhone 14 Pro: A16 processor and Larger RAM size

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the new A16 Bionic chip may be reserved for the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, despite contradicting reports about the iPhone 14 Pro's features.

The A15 Bionic chip featured in the iPhone 13 series would be used in the normal iPhone 14 lineup.

Furthermore, Kuo claims that all four iPhone 14 models will have 6GB of RAM, a significant upgrade over the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini.

While the lower versions will reportedly employ LPDDR4X RAM, the Pro models will purportedly use LPDDR5, which is faster and more efficient.

 iPhone 14 Pro: 120Hz display

the standard iPhone 14 is expected to include a new 90Hz refresh rate, up from 60Hz.

As a result, the iPhone 14 Pro series is expected to continue to provide the smoothest scrolling and overall performance.

By the time the iPhone 14 series is released, we expect developers to have tuned many more games and apps for a 120Hz experience.

It's only natural that the iPhone 14 series gets the most modern updates, especially because they'll continue to command a premium.

If the ordinary iPhone 14 starts at $799, the $200 upgrade to the Pro must be justified.

If an $899 iPhone 14 Max is released, the $1,099 iPhone 14 Pro Max will need to justify its higher price.

All of the rumored enhancements should accomplish this, but we'll have to wait and see which ones come true.
